Chobe National Park – Chobe is first and foremost known for its large herd of elephant. It covers about 11 000 sq km (1 100 000 ha).
It’s convenient location, being situated close to Victoria Falls and Livingstone, makes for a wonderful combination trip. The distance between Victoria Falls and Chobe is approximately 80 km (50 miles).
Across the river from the Chobe National Park is Namibia’s Caprivi Strip which once again makes this a great combination trip to enjoy 2 countries – accessible by boat to cross over to Namibia. Bird life is breathtaking in this region.
The Chobe Reserve consists of 4 areas – that being along the Chobe River in the northeast near Kasane, the Corridor around Ngwezumba and Nogatsaa, a portion of the Linyati Swamps in the northwest, and the Savute in the west.
Due to the convenient accessibility, this park is mostly visited by tourists and caters in particular for large groups. Many hotels and lodges are located on the outskirts of the reserve along the Chobe River.
We highly recommend this diverse and amazing park, contact us when you are ready to be blown away by awesome special gems that we have up our sleeves for this area.
